Tibetan Opera

In the 14th Century, a Tibetan Buddhist monk by the name of Gyalpo, dreamt of building a bridge across all the major rivers if Tibet, so that pilgrims may visit the holy cities more easily. Eager to raise funds for his project, he played cymbals and drums while 7 beautiful women danced. They travelled throughout Tibet, entertaining the public and collecting money. His act became famous throughout Tibet and came to be known as "Ace Lamho" or "Fairy Sisters", or internationally, as the "Tibetan Opera".
